Health-resert Jonsdorf Stop
Stop 'Baths Jonsdorf' was open with two tracks and four switches in 1890. By 1910 the wooden shed was build (right side in the picture). In 1914 the stop was renamed in 'Stop Jonsdorf' and got in the same year to signals that permitted a crossing of trains. There was built a special switch tower in 1938, but removed in 1962. In 1955 circumstances in transport of heavy loading made it necessary to extense the loading platform with the aim to load and unload regular gauges wagons jacked on carrier trucks. That's why bridge 'Jonsdorf street' (Sandbusch) was extended, too. Shipping of large goods of the Jonsdorf Machine Factory (Jonsdorfer Maschinenfabrik) didn't happen because heavy loading was shipped on motor lorries to Zittau. The overhead crane loaded motor lorries only. In 1969 shipping was stoped here. In the mean time the second track was removed and there is only a single track line today.
