Oybin Lower Village Stop was opened as 'Stop Wittigs Pub' ('Haltestelle Wittigschänke') in 1890. With the enlargement to a double tracked line in 1913 the stop
got its named 'Station Oybin Lower Village' on June 4th, 1914. With the removal of the second track in 1943 the name changed from a station to a stop again. The station building with
'quaters' (built in 1916) was sold by DB AG and is actually used ad dwelling house. Both sidings were removed in 1965.
